Finding Jesus

Romans 10:9 11 That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. As the scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame."

Revelation: 3:20 (Jesus speaking) Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.

There is no mystery to becoming a Christian, a child of God, a follower of Christ, saved, born again. The scriptures spell it out. We have all sinned. The wages of sin is death. When we confess our sins to God, repent of these sins (turn away from sin), accept Christ as our savior and Lord. Christ will enter our lives and direct our lives through his Holy Spirit ( he becomes our counselor).

It all begins with a prayer. Only you can accept Christ. No one else can make the decision for you. Once you pray for Jesus to become your Lord and Savior, everything changes. Your a new creation, old things pass away, you are "born again", with new hope and eternal life.

It then follows that you follow Christ in baptism and find a group of believers that also accept Christ as the only way. There are many who claim to be "Christian", but it is only those that accept Christ as the way, the truth, and the life. He is God's only way of salvation.
